[How's it been? Certainly a shitty time to see each other, right? Hughes was just droned and had an unpleasant nap back home, so he wasn't entirely exhausted, but he definitely looked like he'd been through the mill. Besides the missing hand, he had bruises, scrapes, cuts, and any of the above. He was also pretty drained...
But, he'd calmed considerably after he tried to burn down City Hall, thanks to Winry. And he'll do his very best to smile back, though it's a bit empty this time around. At least he had time to think, maybe sort out some of that emotional turmoil.
